MUSLIM WORLD PROJECT
News Flash: GLS’s Response to Recent Unrest in Kyrgyzstan.

“The trip encouraged me to learn from Muslims and show my love for them, which made the friendships mutual.” Jocelyn, UC San Diego
This 6-week project is designed to offer an introduction to Islam and a chance to encounter and engage Muslims in different contexts. During this project, you will build real friendships with Muslims that will break down fear and open the door for relationship and witness.
Our vision is to see students actively applying the truths of the Christian faith to the Muslim world context and committing their lives to serve God’s people and His purposes in the world.
Project Overview
Location 1 | USA – 1 week
Engage immigrant communities of Afghan, Iranian, and Pakistani Muslims living in the US. Visit a mosque and be in the presence of Muslims in our own communities. Visit an Iranian-led outreach to Iran via satellite. In this week-long orientation, we’ll study the Bible, learn about team dynamics, crossing cultures and applying it all through field experience. Discover long-term work among immigrants and international students in your local neighborhood.
Location 2 | Paris – 2 weeks
We’ll travel to Paris, and encounter devout Muslims from North Africa dealing with life in an intensely secular context. We’ll also engage in cultural exchange with college-aged students, learn about Arab culture, and discover how to witness in a secular culture. We’ll minister in partnership with a college Christian fellowship. Read More
Location 3 | Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia) – 3 weeks
Meet nominal Muslims in a poor former Communist country. Teach conversational English to high school and college-aged students. Share your life and God’s love with students from many different Central Asian cultures. Read More
