Recruited by a Fortune 100 Technology Firm to go to China, Jessie went to a tier-1 city as a tentmaker.
She met many co-workers, who were open to the gospel. Her heart was broken by many of the women she met, and she started a 3-person Bible study at her house. This grew to 15 women over the next year. In hopes of reaching more women through topics that the church does not address, she and the women in her core group started the first inter-church women's conference.
The first year 80 women attended and were greatly blessed by the quality of speakers on topics such as marriage, parenting, past brokenness and healing.
Jessie realized that if she had not gone to China, she never would have had this opportunity to reach out to her colleagues and the broader Chinese church.
